"The team was not ready for the Premier League and that makes it also difficult for me to adapt," Tzolis explained. He noted that his attacking style requires a team that dominates possession and creates numerous chances, whereas Norwich's approach demanded deeper defensive positioning and transition-based play. The lack of consistent game time as a young player compounded these challenges and hindered his adaptation to top-flight football. Tzolis' statistics from his time at Club Brugge demonstrate significant development and improvement. Across two seasons at the Belgian club, he scored 33 goals, with his 2025-26 campaign proving particularly productive with 17 goals and 23 assists—16 more goal involvements than any other player in the Belgian league. That exceptional form helped Club Brugge reclaim their domestic title and attracted Arsenal's attention as they seek to defend their own Premier League crown. The winger has already netted in pre-season, scoring during a friendly victory against Girona.
